Task Form
New Tasks can be added by right mouse clicking a Task folder in the Template Process Tree View, or by right mouse clicking a Stage in the Template Process Tree View, or by right mouse clicking on the blank area within a Stage Boundary Box in the Graphical View, and then selecting the New option followed by the Task sub-option on the pop-up menu.

You can also create a new Task by selecting a Stage in the Template Process Tree View, or in the Graphical View, and clicking the task icon in the toolkit, or simply dragging the Task icon from the Toolkit and dropping it on a Stage in the Graphical view.

From assyst 9 SP3 you can also operate Dynamic Task Expressions from the Task Form. Dynamic Task Expressions open up a range of in-Process modifications that can be applied to Template or Attached Processes. For example a Dynamic Task Expression could be created to:

  • Generate a Task to call an Event's Affected User and each Additional Affected User of the logged Item of a potential issue.
  • Create an additional Approval Task based on the SLA, Section or Building of an Item.
  • Switch the Process For Service Requests so that Requests with a Total Value less than a set level would require no Approval, between this level and a higher value a specific level of Approval is sought, and above the higher level of a different specific level of Approval is sought.
  • Make Tasks in an entire Stage optional based on a User's Location.

Any of the above options opens the New Task Form.
