The assyst Web Client provides you with comprehensive Incident and Change Logging over the web. Supporting files can be attached to an event during the Logging or Actioning process, allowing further information to be passed along the resolution line. Supporting this, the in-built knowledge base offers you the option to find a solution.
You can also utilize the detailed selection criteria available for Events and Assets to locate any record you have the privileges to access, in comprehensive detail.
The assyst Web Client also harnesses all the Actioning capabilities of assyst Enterprise to allow you to deliver your role in the same manner as you would in assyst Enterprise.
As a separate license assyst Web Client is available in assystMobile interface (see Using assystMobile) that allows Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) enabled or Wireless Markup Language (WML) devices access via a web interface. This includes WAP-enabled phones as well as Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) with WML browsers and Blackberry RIM (Research in Motion®) devices.

Background
The assyst Web Client is part of assyst Enterprise Web Edition which is a suite of two complementary products which interact with the established assyst Enterprise.
The assyst Web Client provides IT Service personnel the ability to interact anywhere utilizing their usual working methods. While assystNET allows end users to interact with assyst’s Incidents, Changes, Problems and Tasks.
In addition, assystConnect, a licensed Java-based application, enables assyst Web Enterprise Edition to be integrated into an enterprise architecture.
Installation and Configuration

Administration
The administration of the assyst Web Client can be viewed at a number of levels. The Technical Support level of administration is dealt with by the Installation and Configuration section above.
